Through a chain of events in my life, I surrendered to the ministry and now live the “call” He placed on me. I find myself sharing my faith about the Lord, almost without realizing it. It has become a lifestyle for me to want to show people how to come to know the Lord. I never assume anything about anybody but always believe the best in them. I hope that one day, when they lay me to rest, no one will remember my name — they will just see a man who lived for his King! One of my favorite sayings is, “Life should not be a journey to the grave with the intention of arriving safely in a pretty and well preserved body, but rather to skid broadside, thoroughly used up, totally worn out and loudly proclaiming, ‘WOW! What a ride!’” Thank you Lord.
I married my very best friend, Tammy Chandler Morgan, on June 3, 1989 after dating for two years. We have two beautiful daughters, Paige and Paiton. They are 25 and 20. I grew up in Denham Springs, LA and lived on the same piece of property almost my entire life. I was raised hunting with dogs. The majority of my life I have trained and hunted rabbit dogs, coon hounds and squirrel dogs, which makes the next paragraph so powerful.
I transitioned to senior Pastor at Live Oak Baptist Church in the spring of 2018. Previously I served as Associate Pastor/Student Minister at Live Oak Baptist Church in Denham Springs, LA since 2004. We lost the roof to our sanctuary in May of 2008. We scheduled a man named Mr Hank to bring what he called his Kingdom Dogs to do a presentation on a Sunday morning while the congregation met in the local high school gym (since our sanctuary was being rebuilt). It was after that event that Hank and myself began the journey of becoming friends and eventually for me to become a presenter for KDM. God opened the door in July of 2013 thru a group of generous friends for me to get Glory. Since then we have been blessed thru more generous friends to purchase Zach and Journey. Giving God all the praise we have had the privilege to do over 500 presentations since 2013 in front of over 124,000 people with over 14,000 Salvations.
